Can i sleep here tonight?

Merlin cried out in shock as he shot out of bed.

"Arthur…" he breathed, beads of sweat hung on his fore head.

"Not again…" Merlin choked as he swiped his hand across his face, collecting the cold sweat.

Merlin pressed his hand against his chest, feeling his heart bash against his chest.
Merlin shook his head.

"Please…please don't let his happen to him, not him…not Arthur…please!" Merlin whispered in a haunted tone.

Slowly he got out of bed and got dressed, aimlessly walking around the palace.

His pace would speed up as he remembered his dream; he would unconsciously turn corners, leading him around till finally he reached Arthur's room.

Merlin dryly gulped.

He slowly opened the door and walked in, gently closing it he aimlessly walked over to Arthur.

The king slowly woke to the sound of Merlin calling his name.

His eyes opened and he slowly turned over to Merlin.

"M…Merlin?" He croaked tiredly.

"I…" Merlin breathed.

"What is it?" Arthur asked as he sat up, watching Merlin.

"Arthur…" Merlin said shyly and looked down in embarrassment.

Arthur frowned.

"Tell me…" He said gently.

Merlin looked up at him.

"I uum…I had…" Merlin hesitated.

"I had a nightmare…can…can I stay Arthur?" Merlin asked quietly.

Arthur gave him a pitiful look.

"Same here…" He said and gently pulled the covers out.

"Come here love…sleep with me tonight…I'll keep you safe." Arthur said.

Merlin climbed into bed and pulled the covers up.

"I'm sorry…for fighting." Arthur apologized and placed a kiss on Merlin's head.

"Thank you…I'm sorry too…" Merlin said and kissed Arthur gently.

With care Merlin hugged him close, placing his head on Arthur's chest as he closed his eyes.

Arthur slowly stroked Merlin's hair.

He leaned close.

"I'm glad you're here, Merlin…" He whispered.

"I'm glad you with me, and not in that cot thinking I despise you…I was so stupid, I'm sorry…" Arthur hushed and kissed Merlin's hair and closed his eyes.

"You're so sweet…" Merlin whispered.

"So sweet…" He finished as he felt himself close to sleep.

"I'm so glad I'm here with you…safe in your arms…" Merlin whispered and fell asleep.

Arthur watched Merlin sleeping with a grateful smile.

Soon he felt sleep take him and hugged Merlin close.

In the morning Arthur woke to Merlin still asleep in his arms.

The man gently kissed Merlin's fore head and stroked his hair.

"Morning my lovely…" He said softly.

Merlin lightly hummed and moved slightly and stilled.

"Love…you, Arthur…." He whispered tiredly in his dream.

"I love you too…so much…" Arthur whispered back, placing small kisses along Merlin's neck.
Merlin giggled and sifted.

He yawned and let out a calm breath and stilled, his feet wrapped around Arthur's leg, his arms snaked around Arthur's arm as his head rested in the crook of Arthur's neck.

Arthur was still as he gently trailed his finger across Merlin's arm.

Slowly waking him.

"Arthur?" Merlin whispered.

"Yeah it's me…" The man smiled.

Merlin hummed.

"Morning…" He hushed and sat up.

He placed his hand on Arthur's cheek.

"Morning Arthur…" He smiled and kissed him, Merlin lay on top of Arthur as he wrapped his arms around Arthur's neck, kissing him deeply, lovingly.

Arthur's arms wrapped around Merlin's back.

After a tender moment they slowly broke off.

"Glad we made up love…" Arthur smiled and kissed Merlin's nose cutely.

"Me too sweetheart…" Merlin smiled sweetly.
