The cursed king part 11

The warlock woke to Arthur stroking his hair.

“Good Morning Sire…” Merlin croaks out from sleep.

Arthur smiles. “There is no need to call me that here Merlin…”

Merlin nods before sitting up slowly and gets up. “I’ll get your breakfast for you…”

“If you wish to.” Arthur says, sitting up from bed, his sheets shifting.

“I wish to.” Merlin smiles at him before leaving the room, a good hour passes and Merlin brings in two dishes they both enjoy, the king and warlock dig in before Arthur sighs.

“What is it?” Merlin frowns as Arthur gets up.

“After this we shall go to the meeting.” Arthur instructs him.

“Oh…okay…” Merlin says before getting up as well and makes sure Arthur is ready before they walk out. Obe gets control and brings Merlin close as they go to the normal daily morning meeting.

Merlin sits beside Obe as the man barks out orders for the day.

Nearly two hours pass and Merlin begins to feel tired.

“That’s all for today.” Obe says before everyone stands, Merlin does the same, his arms behind his back politely.

When the men leave the room Obe turns to Merlin before smiling. “Are you tired?”

“Yes….” Merlin admits.

“It was quite boring, wasn’t it?” Obe says before bringing a sleepy Merlin close.

Merlin closes his eyes, feeling himself grow more and more tired.

Obe carefully picks him up and carries him to a garden, lying him down on a bench; the demon sits down, laying Merlin’s head on his lap and waits for him to awaken.

Moments later the warlocks eyes flutter open, his mouth opening to let out a long yawn.

“You are adorable, Merlin…” Obe says.

Merlin sits up slowly before looking at the view of the garden and gasps. “Oh…that is amazing…”

“It is, isn’t it?” Obe chuckles before getting up and offers Merlin a hand. “Join me?”

Merlin smiles and takes his hand, letting Obe lead him around.

The two walk around for a while, gazing upon the flowers and trees.

Obe smiles and picks a flower before putting it in between Merlin’s head and ear.

“Hm?” Merlin says, feeling something and looks up to see a white rose stuck in between his ear and his head. “Oh…”

“It suits you, Merlin.” The demon says.

“Eh…thank you...” Merlin smiles in an awkward way but he couldn’t stop the blush that crept onto his cheeks.

Obe chuckles and walks onwards, Merlin follows and looks at the man.

“Er….what…do you want to accomplish in this…body?” He asks.

“My, what a question there, Merlin…” He says, not looking at him.

“Power?”

“Yes…”

“Until when?” Merlin asks.

“You wish to know when I will leave this body?” Obe asks, his tone calm.

“Well….yes…” Merlin admits.

“You have feelings for Arthur?”

“I…well….it’s…complicated, Sire…” Merlin states honestly.

“Mm…well…I think I should stay in this body till someone makes a move in defeating me.” Obe says.

“Why do you trust me so…?” Merlin asks. “I-I could just…”

“I trust you…I like you, Merlin. You are an interesting man….and beautiful….” Obe stops and turns to Merlin, stroking his cheek. “-And so powerful….gods…you are one interesting human…”

Merlin gulps thickly. “You….know of my magic?”

“I can feel it….so pure and strong…and your so beautiful too and kind…I cannot resist you…might be the death of me one day but….right now, it’s sweet…” Obe leans down, kissing his head.

Merlin stays still. “I….”

“Don’t worry…I will keep your magic a secret…” Obe hushes.

“Thank you…” Merlin breathes and Obe holds him close.

“I will always protect you, Merlin…” He says strongly.

Merlin relaxes against him, closing his eyes.
